Dr. Jim Wyant, founding dean of the College of Optical Sciences at University of Arizona, pioneered the metrology applications of Computer Generated Holograms in the early 1970’s. AOM was honored to host Dr. Wyant on August 11.

AOM President Dr. Chunyu Zhao will be presenting a talk on the history of CGH technology SPIE Optics + Photonics. The presentation, “CGHs for testing aspheres and freeforms: a review” will take place Monday, 2 August from 5:05 PM – 5:20 PM PDT.

AOM now offers CGH Fine Positioning Mounts (FPM) compatible with all standard CGH sizes. The FPM has 6 adjusters to align all 6 degrees of freedom (x, y, z, θx, θy, θz ) with sub-micron resolution and ±3 mm range.
