Ed Gonzalez has joined AOM as Optical Engineer to further expand our CGH design team and support customer demand.
Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in Optical Sciences from the Wyant College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona, in addition to associate degrees in Photonics and Electro-Optics. Ed started his optics career as a Quality Assurance technician and worked his way up to becoming a Senior Designer at Edmund Optics. He has a broad range of optics experience, from inspection and manufacturing, to optical design and tolerancing using Code V and Zemax.
Outside of work, Ed enjoys DJ’ing, dancing, riding his motorcycle, and learning Disney songs (because of his daughter).
As an Optical Engineer at AOM, Ed is excited to learn how to use conventional things in unconventional ways, using a creative approach to expand the functionality and applications of the CGH.
