Dr. Edward LaVilla has joined AOM as Optical Engineer to support our growing CGH design and fabrication demand. Eddie brings a wealth of technical expertise with valuable industry and academic experience, most recently as Senior Applications Engineer with Zygo Corporation where he spent 3 years developing turnkey CGH applications, developing customer knowledge and comfort with CGH metrology. Prior to that, Eddie earned his PhD in Optical Science and Engineering from the Wyant College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona where he studied and developed a retinal imaging system to measure ocular distortion for myopia control. In his spare time, Eddie enjoys playing/coaching ice hockey, golf, reading, and hiking. We’re excited to have Eddie on the team to help develop your next metrology project!
