We invite you to tune in to two exciting talks at OF&T 2021 presented on CGH metrology and the Thirty Meter Telescope.
On Monday, June 28 at 3:30-4:00 PM EDT, Dr. Jim Burge will be presenting an invited talk titled “Easy Alignment Techniques for CGH Metrology” (#OM3B.1) This invited talk covers some basics of CGH optical testing and shows how features built into the holograms can be used for easy setup and accurate alignment.
On Wednesday, June 30 at 3:15-3:30 PM EDT, Dr. Shelby Ament will be presenting “Metrology Testbed for the Thirty Meter Telescope Primary Mirror” (#W3B.7). This presentation shares the progress of a CGH-assisted Fizeau interferometric testbed for the 492 1.6 m-diameter segments (with 82 unique prescriptions), and includes a proof-of-concept segment measurement.
